Apple Harvest: A Tale of Apple-y Ever After

This year’s harvest has been tough for farmers. Really bloody tough. The constant rain this summer meant that some of our crop wasn’t up to the high quality we want for our beer. Thankfully, our apples didn’t have the same problem.

There’s a lot that goes into an apple harvest. Namely Kaleb and team working flat out in the orchards to pick all the apples. They work hard for weeks to bring the best ones in for pressing. We don’t import our apples, they’re all homegrown. And we never use juice from concentrate either. It’s always freshly pressed right here before we ferment it with champagne yeast for our cider.

This is just one of many reasons why British farmers are so brilliant. They don’t get nearly enough credit for the amazing work they do, but you can’t argue with results. And when the end result is this good, it’s all worth it.

So, if you follow Kaleb on Instagram, say something nice to him. Or better yet, order some cider to show your appreciation.
