5 summer cocktail recipes with Lucknam Park

We had a lot of fun down at Lucknam Park watching their resident mixologist whip up some unreal cocktails using our unbelievably smooth Hawkstone Vodka.

If you’re looking for some inspiration or you want to try them yourself now that summer's here, you're in luck because we saved all of the recipes. Here’s to happy hour...

Hawk-jito

What you’ll need

  • 60ml Hawkstone Vodka
  • 3 lime wedges
  • 20ml lime Juice
  • 8 sage leaves
  • 4 drops of balsamic vinegar
  • 4 sprigs of rosemary
  • 25ml apple juice
  • Soda top

How to make it

  • Run 4 sage leaves around the inside of a highball glass.
  • Add 35ml Hawkstone Vodka, all lime wedges, 4 sage leaves and 3 sprigs of rosemary, 4 drops of balsamic vinegar and muddle together.
  • Add some ice, then add the rest of your sage leaves, the rest of the Hawkstone vodka, the apple juice and stir.
  • Add more ice to the top of the glass, then stir again with bar spoon and use it to pull the sage leaves up from the bottom of the glass.
  • Add soda to fill glass over ice.

Hawkstone sour

What you’ll need

  • 50ml Hawkstone Vodka
  • 35ml egg white
  • 3 chocolate bitters
  • 25ml lime juice
  • 15ml sugar syrup
  • Dash of Hawkstone lager
  • Garnish with lime peel

 How to make it 

  • Pre-chill a tumbler with ice.
  • Dry shake all ingredients (apart from the lager) in a Boston shaker for 20–30 seconds.
  • Add ice to the shaker, then shake again for another 20–30 seconds
  • Empty ice out of your tumbler and add a spherical ice ball.
  • Single strain your cocktail into the tumbler with a Hawthorne strainer.
  • Add your dash of Hawkstone lager on top.
  • Garnish with a lime peel twist. 

Hawkstone espresso martini

What you’ll need

  • 35ml maple syrup
  • 75ml coffee-infused Hawkstone Vodka
  • 1 shot coffee
  • Foaming bitters

How to make it

Coffee-infused vodka

  • For 300ml of Hawkstone Vodka, add 2 pucks of used ground coffee from barista machine and a single brown sugar cube.
  • Leave to infuse for 6 hours, shaking in the jar every hour.
  • Strain out with a fine sieve.

Espresso martini

  • First, pre-chill your martini glass with ice.
  • In a Boston shaker, add all ingredients and ice, then shake for 30–45 seconds.
  • Single strain with a Hawthorne strainer into a pre-chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with 3 coffee beans.

 

Hawkstone horse

What you’ll need

  • 50ml Hawkstone Vodka
  • 25ml hop and honey syrup
  • 15ml lime juice
  • Ginger beer top
  • Lemon peel and violet garnish 

For hop and honey syrup

  • 10g of hops (we use Citrus Mandarina)
  • 300ml water 
  • 300ml honey

 How to make it

Hop and honey syrup

  • Add honey and water to pan and bring to boil.
  • Turn down to simmer and add hops and leaves to simmer for a few minutes.
  • Take off the heat and leave to cool for 20–30 mins, then fine strain out hops into sterilised bottle.

Hawkstone horse

  • Pre-chill tumbler with ice.
  • Pour all ingredients into a Boston shaker – except for the ginger beer – then add ice.
  • Shake for 30–45 seconds until mixed, then double strain in tumbler over ice
  • Top up with ginger beer.
  • Garnish with lemon twist and violet.

 

Chili martini

What you’ll need

  • 25ml Bramley & Gage dry vermouth
  • 75ml Hawkstone Vodka
  • 3 red chili slices (muddled)
  • Garnished with chili and violet

How to make it

  • Pre-chill a martini glass.
  • In a mixing glass, gently muddle 3 small chili slices with all the vodka, then add ice and dry vermouth. 
  • Stir in ice for approx. 45 seconds melting the ice gently. 
  • Empty ice from the glass, then strain the cocktail into your martini glass using Hawthorne strainer.
  • Garnish with slice of chili and edible flower.
